Patna University
Patna University was founded in 1917 and serves as annexation and examining the body for 30 years. On January 2, 1952 was transformed into a purely residential university education, with responsibility for Metropolitan is Patna. It is one of the oldest universities in the country. The University is also running the MBA (Master of Business Administration) Course in the Department of Commerce and Applied Economics, the Department of Industrial Relation and Personal Management is having pg diploma courses in Welfare Administration and Rural Management and Industrial Safety Management. These are self-financed courses.
University of Patna Computer Centre was organized by the PG Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) course session 2008-09. PG diploma in bioinformatics center is likely to begin in the next academic session. Master of Computer Application (MCA) began after the adoption of Hon'ble Chancellor of the Institute of Statistics of the University of Patna.
The UGC Academic Staff College works effectively divide the refresher courses on various topics, and an induction program for teachers in the Southeast zone. The current number of students at department of PG , and research institutes in more than 18741 teachers. Currently, the ratio of the student 1:42. The students have performed very well at the national level by UGC and CSIR test done and a successful UPSC and state level program competition and perform the Examination NET Program. Our University Press requires its own large building was expanded and modernized to cope with the growing demands of the university. The University has a sports and cultural center of Commissioners for the Government to keep the campus humming their activities throughout the year.
